Andrew Posner

Andrew Posner was introduced to the Buddha’s teachings in 2012. After leaving a career as a classical composer in 2018, he pursued more intensive training in meditation through many long retreats at the Insight Meditation Society and at North American monasteries in the Thai Forest tradition of Theravada Buddhism. He moved to Denver in 2022 and now works as a trauma therapist in private practice. In August 2024, Andrew co-founded Insight Denver, where he serves on the Board of Directors and as a member of the Teachers Collective. He is also in the current cohort of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program facilitated by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Andrew emphasizes integrating early Buddhist teachings on awareness, tranquility, wisdom, and loving-kindness into our everyday lives. Investigating suffering, freedom, and the nature of the mind continues to steer his life and guide his choices, and he remains a grateful student of the Dharma. He offers respect and appreciation to the teachers and mentors who have most influenced him on this path, including Joseph Goldstein, Alexis Santos, Mark Nunberg, Carol Wilson, Rob Burbea, Andrea Fella, Peter Williams, Caroline Jones, Sayadaw U Tejaniya, Ajahn Sucitto, Ajahn Thanissaro, and Terry Gliedt. “Dhamma is everywhere, all the time. Is the mind ready to understand?” -Sayadaw U Tejaniya
