Beth Hinnen

Beth has practiced and taught contemplative traditions for more than 25 years. She began with yoga in 1998, completing more than 1,000 hours of teacher training, with a focus on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. In 2008, she began studying Zen Buddhism and completed several long monastic retreats. In 2020, she began studying Vipassana and completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Beth began teaching at Insight Meditation Community of Denver in 2022. She later became a council member, co leader, and member of the Teachers Collective. In 2024, she cofounded Insight Denver, where she serves as Board Chair and teaches with the Teachers Collective. Her other projects include an online Meetup group, Denver Dharma Collective, where she teaches Dharma Wednesdays, and online class exploring Yogic philosophy, Buddhism, and interfaith teachings. Andrew Posner

Andrew was introduced to the Buddha’s teachings in 2012. After leaving a career as a classical composer in 2018, he began deeper meditation training through long retreats at the Insight Meditation Society and at North American monasteries in the Thai Forest tradition of Theravada Buddhism. He moved to Denver in 2022 and now works as a trauma therapist in private practice. In August 2024, Andrew co founded Insight Denver, where he serves on the Board of Directors and as a member of the Teachers Collective. Andrew is also in the current cohort of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. His teaching emphasizes early Buddhist practices of awareness, tranquility, wisdom, and loving kindness, and how these can be integrated into everyday life. The investigation of suffering, freedom, and the nature of the mind continues to guide Andrew’s life and choices. He remains a grateful student of the Dharma and offers deep respect to the teachers and mentors who have shaped his path, including Joseph Goldstein, Alexis Santos, Mark Nunberg, Carol Wilson, Rob Burbea, Andrea Fella, Peter Williams, Caroline Jones, Sayadaw U Tejaniya, Ajahn Sucitto, Ajahn Thanissaro, and Terry Gliedt. “Dhamma is everywhere, all the time. Is the mind ready to understand?” -Sayadaw U Tejaniya andrew@insightdenver.org

Rachel Stevens

Rachel began attending Insight Denver Sunday Sangha meetings in early 2025 and is excited to be joining the Teachers Collective in Summer 2026. She has been meditating for over 15 years, first starting in the Vedic tradition before discovering Vipassana meditation in 2018. She completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program run by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield in 2023. Rachel also has a professional background in public service roles focused on group facilitation, storytelling, communications, and community-centered development. She was born and raised in Conifer, Colorado, and while she has left several times to live in places like New York City, Zambia, and Costa Rica, Colorado has a way of calling her home. Rachel brings a trauma-informed approach to her teachings, and highly values creating inclusive spaces where all people feel welcome. She also enjoys finding mindfulness in everyday life—nature, poetry, music and her adopted cat Dolly are some of her teachers.
